RSF condemns SAF’s heinous crimes against innocent civilians in Khartoum

In continuation of their brutal conduct and barbaric methods, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), operating under terrorist factions and so-called "Islamist" battalions attempting to replicate the ISIS model in Sudan, were captured on video committing horrific crimes. The footage reveals soldiers subjecting young civilians to severe abuse, culminating in the gruesome beheading of one victim in an act that defies both humanity and basic moral conscience.

The content of these shocking clips sparked widespread public outrage and revulsion. In one video, gunmen affiliated with the terrorist SAF battalions were seen surrounding an unarmed young man, throwing him to the ground, and brutally severing his head with a sharp object in a horrifying display of violence. Another clip captured the brutal execution of a civilian, as an armed group unleashed a hail of bullets into his head. The assailants were seen shouting hysterically, spewing obscene insults, and abuse at their victims.

The repetition of these brutal crimes exposes the depraved nature of these terrorist elements, transforming the SAF into a barbaric militia that has lost its moral and strategic direction following successive defeats at the hands of the brave Rapid Support Forces (RSF) soldiers who fight with honor, demonstrating valor and adherence to the rules of fair warfare.

We recognize the immense psychological harm and deep trauma endured by the Sudanese people as they continuously witness the heinous crimes of the former regime who justify the murder of civilians and innocent people under false allegations of loyalty to the Rapid Support Forces. These atrocities revive painful memories of past horrors, including the gruesome beheadings and the barbaric act of burning citizens alive in the country’s outskirts and beyond.

Our forces reaffirm their strong condemnation of identity-based killings and all forms of corpse mutilation, emphasizing that these acts constitute ethnic cleansing and full-fledged war crimes under international law. Such atrocities mark a dangerous escalation in the conflict, violating fundamental human values and the sanctity of the dead. We call for a comprehensive investigation and the prosecution of all those responsible whether direct perpetrators, commanders who issued the orders, or those complicit in these crimes.

We pledge to our great people that our forces will remain committed to ending this dark chapter in our nation’s history and to build a state founded on the principles of justice, peace, and democracy.
