The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its extremist backers from the former regime continue to commit the most heinous crimes against innocent civilians through indiscriminate aerial bombardments. Under the direct orders of the hijacked SAF leadership and the terrorist Islamic Movement, the SAF conducted a series of brutal airstrikes today in Mallit in North Darfur State.

These aerial bombardments targeted residential neighborhoods and vital water stations, resulting in the deaths and injuries of dozens of civilians, including women and children, according to initial reports.

Rescue operations are still underway to assist the wounded.

These brutal attacks on unarmed civilians coincide with the ongoing talks in Geneva and unmistakably expose the SAF leadership's servile obedience to the extremist Islamic Movement. This movement is determined to sabotage any efforts that could weaken their stranglehold on the military, which they regard as their ultimate tool for dominating and oppressing the Sudanese people.

We vehemently condemn the barbaric actions of the former regime and its co-conspirators, who flagrantly violate international law and the Geneva Conventions. We call upon the international community and our regional partners to unequivocally denounce their crimes against humanity.

The blatant transgressions of the SAF and its terrorist handlers from the former regime, who use Port Sudan as a hub for advancing their reckless and flawed strategy of slaughtering innocent civilians and ravaging our nation’s resources, demand decisive action. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) remains unwavering in its mission to eradicate this clan of bloodthirsty jihadists and free the SAF from terrorist control. We are determined to realize the Sudanese people's aspirations for civilian-led democratic governance, and to establish a unified professional national army committed solely to protecting our country and its citizens.
