The RSF liberates the city of Lagawa in West Kordofan State, taking full control of the military garrison in the area.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has secured another significant victory today (Sunday), adding to their growing record of triumphs over the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and their allied Islamic Movement and ISIS. In a decisive operation, the RSF successfully liberated the city of Lagawa in West Kordofan State and established full control over the region.

In Lagawa region of West Kordofan, our forces inflicted a crushing defeat to the SAF operating under the Islamic Movement and  their allied mercenary movements, inflicting heavy losses and seizing 11 fully equipped combat vehicles.

The liberation of Lagawa marks a historic breakthrough by the heroic RSF soldeirs, reopening the entire Kordofan region. It stands as a defining moment, drawing a clear line between the era of injustice, tyranny, and nepotism and the dawn of a new Sudanese state where all Sudanese people actively participate in the nation-building endeavoursvbased on their legitimate aspirations for freedom, peace, justice, and democracy.

Our forces reaffirm their commitment to securing the gains , protecting civilians, and ensuring the safe reopening of markets while facilitating the free movement of citizens within Lagawa.
