RSF repels attack on Ambro in North Darfur

Today, Thursday, the brave soldiers of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) successfully repelled an attack launched by mercenaries from various armed movements on the Ambro area in North Darfur State. The attack was an attempt by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood army to mitigate the impact of the major victories achieved by the Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) Forces on several fronts in Kordofan and the Blue Nile region.

The enemy suffered heavy losses in both personnel and equipment after our forces demonstrated resilience and courage, adding another chapter to their record of battlefield achievements. Our forces pursued the remnants of the fleeing Muslim Brotherhood terrorist army and its mercenaries, killing hundreds and seizing more than 42 combat vehicles, along with their equipment, as well as large quantities of weapons and ammunition, which are currently being inventoried.

The RSF remains committed to protect civilians and facilitate access to humanitarian assistance, and call on civilians to stay away from areas of clashes and fighting. The RSF also reaffirms their commitment to ensure the safety of citizens and protecte their property throughout the region.

We assure the Sudanese people that we remain determined to continue the fight against terrorism, eliminate extremist groups from our country, and establish a state founded on freedom, justice, equality, and the rule of law.
