Founding Forces establish full control over the strategic area of Al-Kurmuk in Blue Nile Region

Founding Forces

Important Statement

13 August 2026

Earlier this Thursday, the courageous and heroes of the Sudan Founding Alliance Forces (TASIS) successfully liberated the strategic area of Al-Kurmuk, located 136 kilometres from the city of Damazin, and freed it from the control of the terrorist Islamic Movement’s army and its mercenaries, following a heroic battle in which our forces fought with great courage and determination.

Our heroic forces inflicted heavy losses in personnel and equipment on the Islamic Movement’s army and pursued its remnants as they fled in disarray. Our forces also seized large quantities of weapons and ammunition, which are currently being inventoried.

Our forces affirm that this achievement is but one step towards the complete liberation of the entire homeland and the rebuilding of Sudan on new and just foundations that will end oppression and marginalisation for all the peoples of Sudan.

May mercy and forgiveness be upon our noble martyrs.
