Today, Monday, the air defence forces of Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) shot down a Turkish-made ‘Akıncı’ drone in Al-Kurmuk area of the New Fung region while it was targeting civilians, as part of a series of attacks carried out by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood Army, the latest of which targeted civilian gatherings in several areas across the country.

Our forces reaffirm their firm determination to protect civilians and resolutely confront the attacks carried out by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood Army through near-daily air raids using drones, targeting residential areas, public facilities, infrastructure, and hospitals in flagrant violation of international law and norms.

Our forces affirm that they will remain steadfast in their commitment to maintain vigilance and monitor developments on the ground, protect towns and villages, and ensure the safety of citizens. We further affirm that we will not tolerate any threat to the security of the nation or the lives of innocent civilians.
