The RSF warns of the Islamic Movement's plot to entrap Al-Jamawiya in the ongoing battles in Omdurman

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have been closely monitoring the plans of former regime”s remnants of weapons provision to the civilians and incite them to join the front lines. The most prominent evidence of this plot is the horrific extraordinary execution of several innocent young men by the jihadist battalions, who shot them in cold blood and discarded their bodies in the Nile. A video of this tragic incident was circulated on social media pages affiliated with senior officers of the Islamic Movement within the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).

Over the past two years, RSF engaged in communication with the Jammu'iya communitythrough the "Six-Party Committee," which signed an agreement with the Rapid Support Forces Command  in 2023 in the Omdurman sector. This agreement proved highly successful and remained in effect for nearly two years. During this period, dozens of villages, marketplaces, and commercial convoys were protected. The cooperation between both sides was excellent across various sectors, most notably, through initiatives like the Jammu'iya Commercial Committee convoy, led by Babiker Wad Al-Jabal Al-Saghir, President of the Chamber of Commerce.

Under this agreement, the Rapid Support Forces, in coordination with the Civil Administration, implemented several projects, including the establishment of Takaya (community kitchens), as well as electricity, water, and security for villages and neighborhoods. The RSF have never entered any village within the community; instead, they enforced a policy that restricted entry to villages without prior approval from the Jammu’iya Local Committee representing the community. Furthermore, the RSF empowered local residents to establish security checkpoints, manned by the community members within the villages and at their main entrances.

In light of recent developmentss, the agreement was breached when members of Al-Barra terrorist Brigades infiltrated the southern countryside. These groups brutally slaughtered civilians crossing the river and the users of the Jabal Awliya road to Omdurman. They deployed snipers on rooftops of houses in the villages. Furthermore they circulated videos filled with hostile and inflammatory rhetoric. They also  stormed the villages, transforming once-peaceful communities into active battlefields.

In this context, we observed concrete actions, including the arming of hundreds of individuals from the Jammu'iya tribe during a mobilization rally held last Friday, April 4th, in "Hosh Al-Khalifa" square in Omdurman. The event was marked by the promotion of deceptive narratives aimed at inciting tribal and civilian mobilization through misinformation and manipulation.

The Rapid Support Forces warn of a deliberate plan by the Islamic terrorist movement to arm civilians in the southern countryside of Omdurman and alert over efforts to drag members of the Jammu'iya tribe into a conflict alongside ISIS-affiliated militants, as part of a broader strategy to spread chaos, fuel civil unrest, as witnessed in the villages of Gezira State.

We call upon all citizens, tribal leaders, and civil administrations across Sudan to stand firm against the plots of the SAF militias and terrorist battalions and thwart their attempts to sow discord among the fabric of the Sudanese people in a bid to spark a full-scale civil war, an effort to cover their desperation and failure in the conflict they treacherously unleashed on the morning of April 15, 2023.

Our forces reaffirm their deep respect for all societal components across Sudan and call upon tribal elders, community leaders, and civil administrations to shield their sons from the traps of a war driven by the remnants of the former regime. We urge them to remain vigilant against attempts to exploit and manipulate their communities through racist rhetoric and false narratives to fuel division and unrest.

The Rapid Support Forces remain more committed to the well-being of our Jammu'iya communities and villages than certain tribal members who have surrendered to the agendas of terrorist groups. We call upon the sincere and patriotic members of Jammu'iya to take action, preventing the region from descending into a war zone and safeguards the security of the villages and the lives of their residents.

We reiterate the commitment of our forces to never harm citizens. However, we will not hesitate to take decisive action against the terrorist battalions, jihadists, and warmongers. We will pursue them with all our strength, determined to free our people of their evil influence and put an end to the era of injustice and tyranny. This marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of our nation, one defined by the principles of "Freedom, Peace, and Justice.
