MEDIA STATEMENT
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) warmly welcomes the honorable members of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), led by SAF Colonel Mekki Dawoud al-Malih, who have aligned with the will of the people after disengaging from the SAF Engineers Corps in Omdurman.
Today, the RSF leadership in Omdurman received Colonel al-Malih alongside a number of other personnel, who expressed their full readiness to stand side-by-side with the RSF in our fight against the SAF, its allied jihadi militias, and its extremist backers from the former regime and National Congress Party.
While extending our gratitude and a warm welcome to these officers and soldiers, the RSF emphasizes that we do not intend to replace the SAF. Rather, we will work with honorable individuals such as these to build a single professional national army that truly represents Sudan and remains free from any partisan ideology.
