The North Darfur Governor, Nimir Mohammed Abdul-Rahman praised the efforts being made by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Peace and Reconciliation Committee in resolving tribal conflicts, maintaining peace between communities in Darfur state.
While addressing people at cessation of hostilities conference between the community components, in “Kologi, Zamzam” areas, he praised the efforts of the transitional sovereignty council vice president, RSF Commander, General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo for supporting tribal reconciliations for Sudan, particularly Darfur states.
Nimir stressed overcoming all the challenges facing the outcomes of signing the agreement, “only through determination, we can overcome the challenges, achieve peaceful coexistence between the community components” he said.
While the RSF North Darfur Sector Commander, General Jedo Hamdan Abu-Nishouk called the disputing parties to avoid politics, which has negative influence on social relationship, underscoring the importance of renouncing fanaticism, tribalism, whatever that makes people apart, to maintain peace and stability.
Meanwhile, the RSF Peace and Reconciliation Committee Chairman, Colonel Musa Hamid Ambello stressed the need to preserve cessation of hostilities agreement, to move a step forward to make final comprehensive agreement soon, adding that the transitional sovereignty council vice president first priority is to maintain peace and stability in Darfur states.
