RSF Reconciliation and Peace Committee finishes peace deal preparatory work

A preparatory meeting was held in the run-up to the signing of the reconciliation agreement between Tamma and Fur on Saturday in North Darfur under the auspices of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Reconciliation and Peace Committee.

The meeting was held in the presence of the Ajaweed (Mediators) Committee, chaired by Prince Mahmoud Abd Allah Al-Dood, a representative of the Saraf Omera Locality, and Prince Shawish Adam Ishag.

RSF Reconciliation and Peace Committee Chairman, Colonel Musa Hamid Ambello stressed the importance of facilitating tribal reconciliation in Sudan to maintain peace and stability. 

He further underscored that Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo is deeply invested in spreading the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence between local communities in the country. He further lauded native administrations and the regular forces for maintaining security, protecting the agricultural season, renouncing tribalism, racism, and regionalism, and fighting acts of violence.

Ambello also stated that the motto, “Darfur Recovers from Geneina,” has become a new reality that requires significant efforts to maintain peace and stability.
