Transitional Sovereignity Council VP, South Sudanese VP discuss Peace Agreement

Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo has met with South Sudan’s vice president to discuss the implementation of the Peace Agreement.

Dagalo congratulated South Sudanese Vice President Dr. Riek Machar on the steps that have been taken to extend the implementation period for two more years.

He also praised the efforts of all the signatories to the agreement to achieve peace and stability in the country. 

Dagalo further expressed his hope that the first batch of integrated forces will graduate by the end of this month and the second batch will be absorbed in November, as agreed. 

Meanwhile, Machar lauded the vice president’s work to ensure that the Peace Agreement is implemented fully as its guarantor and supervisor.
