Rapid Support Forces launches media convoy to spread peace and tolerance

The mechanisms working to cease hostilities throughout Sudan, including the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Blue Sultanate, Rofa, Kenana Shura Corporation, and native administrations, have launched a media convoy to implement agreements to end violence in 12 villages in the Blue Nile Region. 

The convoy debarked from the Blue Nile General Secretariat in the presence of Governor Ahmed Al-Omda Baday, Khartoum Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza, RSF Reconciliation and Peace Committee Chairman, Brigadier Ali Yagoup, and the leaders of the regular forces.

Baday stated that the Blue Nile community is peaceful, stable, and secure. He added that the government will resolve issues facing IDPs, who would like to return home voluntarily.

In turn, Hamza praised the RSF’s efforts to conclude tribal reconciliations. 

"We are here to understand the reason for the acts of violence in the local community," he said, stressing the importance of implementing rule of law and the authority of the state.

Meanwhile, Yagoup pledged that the RSF will continue to ensure peace throughout the region.
