Transitional Sovereignty Council VP emphasizes importance of rule of law

Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo has opened the Taqwa Mosque in East Valley Ginena.
After the Friday prayer, the vice president called on the people of Sudan to uphold core values of Islam such as tolerance and forgiveness, and to show respect to one another.
Dagalo also noted that tribes should not protect criminals, as they share the same ethnic affiliation. “From now on, all tribes must be one,” he said. “Our biggest problems lie in thieves. We must respect our traditions and heritage.”
Dagalo also recommended applying religious teachings and following the Holy Quran.

“Rule of law must be guarded, and criminals must be punished according to the law,” he said.
