The RSF condemns the SAF’s massacre in Kateila, South Darfur.

MEDIA STATEMENT 

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) strongly condemn and denounce the attack carried out by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood's army in Sudan, using an Akinci drone, which targeted residential neighborhoods in the city of Kateila in South Darfur.

The attack has resulted in a horrific massacre that claimed the lives of more than 100 civilians and injured dozens while they were at a social event.

This attack constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the rules of engagement, and clearly demonstrates the deliberate targeting of innocent civilians.

Our forces call for an independent international investigation to hold accountable those responsible for this tragedy, which represents a full-fledged war crime, affirming that the protection of civilians is a legal and moral obligation that must not be compromised under any pretext.

Our forces pledge to pursue justice for the families of the victims and prosecute those responsible for these violations, in a manner that upholds the rule of law and restores peace, justice and good governance in Sudan.
