At dawn on Tuesday, the Air Defense Unit of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) successfully intercepted and shot down a Turkish-made "Akinci" drone over the city of El Fasher in North Darfur state. A few days earlier, the drone launched attacks on civilians, resulted in the killing over 80 people in Bulbul Tembesko area west of Nyala, in addition to dozens of deaths in Al-Zuruq, north Darfur.

We in the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), while strongly condemning the deliberate targeting of civilians, affirm that the actions committed by the so-called “Terrorist Islamic Movement Army” through the use of Turkish-manufactured drones constitute part of a broader scheme amounting to genocide and crimes of ethnic cleansing carried out by these groups against civilian communities in areas where our forces have no military presence.

We call upon the international community, regional organizations, and human rights advocates to condemn these heinous massacres committed against innocent civilians in Darfur, which constitute a flagrant violation of international law and the Geneva Conventions. We further urge impartial media outlets to shed light on these crimes and expose the circumstances surrounding these crimes.
