The Rapid Support Forces strongly condemn the grave violations

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) strongly condemn the grave violations and heinous crimes of genocide committed by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) militias and their allied extremist battalions. These groups launched brutal campaigns of killing, abuse, and torture, targeting innocent residents of Al-Kanabi, “rural area”. The unprecedented brutality reached its level in the massacre at Kanbo Taiba, east of Um Al-Qura locality in Gezira State. Since the SAF and its militias entered the city of Wad Madani last Saturday, systematic crimes were committed in the area, resulted in killing of hundreds of people.

While our forces declare full solidarity with the "people of Al-Kanabi" and the families of those affected by oppression and displacement, urgently call for the awakening of human conscience, provide aid to the innocent victims and protect their lives. SAF militias and their terrorist battalions have systematically invaded entire villages and areas. They have deliberately set communities ablaze and subjected innocent civilians to horrific abuse under baseless allegations that they serve as social incubators for the Rapid Support Forces.

The crimes committed in "Kombo-Taiba”, and other areas constitute acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing, posing a grave threat to the security and stability of Sudanese society. These crimes are a continuation of the Islamic terrorist movement's longstanding campaign of violence against the Sudanese people, as witnessed in Darfur, South Kordofan, and Blue Nile. This situation necessitates immediate intervention by human rights and humanitarian organizations.

Our forces issue a warning against the ongoing incitement campaigns propagated by the mouthpieces of the former regime and war advocates targeting the inhabitants of Al-Kanabi in central Sudan. It is a tactic using the current crisis to eliminate their presence and forcibly displace them, to advance the agendas to divide the country. We call for sparing innocent civilians from the ravages of the armed conflict, to avoid plunging the country into a catastrophic civil war.

We reiterate to our people that we remain steadfast in our commitment to act responsibly and decisively to free our country from the grip of the racist regime and build a new Sudan founded on justice and equity and to eradicate the injustice and marginalization for all Sudanese peoples.
