As highlighted in the statements made by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Commander, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, concerning the recruitment of foreign militias by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), operating under the Islamic Movement's extremist, SAF swallowed its pride by acknowledging, as corroborated by witness accounts, the participation of Ethiopian Tigray mercenaries in the recent combats within the city of Wad Madani, in Gezira State.

In an insult to the honor of the Sudanese military, as a reflection of the despair, defeat and isolation plaguing the military institution, a direct consequence of its decision-making being usurped and dominated by elements of the Islamic extremist movement, a video clip has emerged to show the scandal. The video captures a high-ranking army commander surrounded by foreign fighters from the Tigray mercenaries, addressing a mass gathering within the city of Wad Madani.

The senior SAF officer expressed praise and appreciation to the Tigray Forces mercenaries, commending their role in the retaking Wad Madani. He publicly expressed gratitude for their efforts, emphasizing their preparedness and firm resolve to continue fighting within Sudan.

Our forces condemn the interference of foreign mercenaries in the internal conflict and send a message to the Sudanese people and international organizations, particularly the United Nations, to confront these flagrant military interventions.

Our forces express deep regret over the deteriorating state of the SAF, as a direct result of the prolonged politicization of the military institution and its hijacking by elements of the Islamic Movement and the National Congress Party. This situation underscores the very issue our forces strive to address comprehensively by rebuilding the Sudanese state on new foundations. That includes the establishment of a truly national army rooted in a solid national doctrine, free from political allegiance to the Islamic Movement or any other partisan agendas.
